DSWW works closely with TAFE NSW and other training organisations to deliver a range of training and courses for members to utilise in the shed and beyond.
DSWW provides members with skills-based workshops and coordinates a variety of certified TAFE courses throughout the year (including certificates in welding, computer aided design, hospitality, first aid and others).
Getting together with like-minded people is also important, so there’s a range of regular group activities through the year: fishing days, coffee mornings, getting off the beaten track through our beautiful region, BBQs etc. These activities are all family-friendly.
DSWW also advocates for and provides strategic oversight of veteran related services and programs in the region. This includes supporting and networking with respected partners in the wider community like Open Arms, Soldier On, With You With Me, Laptops for Veterans, Young Veterans, Veteran Fishing and Outdoors and others.
